Lord I Know

Lord I know that when I accepted you--
you gave me power,
Over all unbelief and
all the evil that devours.

Lord I know that as a child of yours
I will be tried.
And when the storms of life come
there's no need for me to hide

For Lord I know that everywhere I go
you're always near,
And when evil tries to conquer me
you'll wipe away my fear.

And Lord I know that when I speak you always hear, for it's only a moment later when you wipe away my tears.

And Lord I know that nearly two thousand years ago
On the cross you were slain,
and I must keep in mind that nothing I go through here
will ever match your pain.

Daily I know that I must sacrifice
some little something for you Lord,
for your Holy Bible does say
"Greater is my Reward." and...

Lord I know that when my life is over,
It'll really be just begun,
for I'll be on my way to a land
filled with sweet clover,
where your light will be the only sun...

And Lord I know that you'll be at the gates
waiting for me,
Just as soon as this earthly body
sets me free....
